About Rauno
More than 30 years
under the bar
I am Rauno Heinla, a professional strongman athlete from Estonia with more than 30 years of
experience in strength sports and over two decades of international competition.
Deadlift has always been my strongest event and the lift that has defined much of my career. I am a
three-time World Deadlift Champion, winning the title in 2019, 2022 and 2024, and I currently hold
the Masters Deadlift World Record with 476 kg.
Even in my forties, my goals have not become smaller. My main focus is now on July 2027 in Germany,
where I plan to set a new Masters Deadlift World Record of at least 480 kg and pursue one of the
biggest goals of my career — becoming the first Masters athlete to break the legendary
500 kg barrier.
For me, strength sport has never been only about one competition or one record. It has been decades
of training, injuries, rebuilding, learning and constantly finding ways to become better.
Outside competition, I work as a strength and strongman coach, helping athletes improve their
performance through structured programming, technical analysis and the experience I have gained
throughout my own career.
I am also the founder of Printdisain.ee, an Estonian DTF printing company specialising in custom
designs and professional-quality printing for clothing and apparel.
Away from sport and business, family is an important part of my life. I am married to Kalli Heinla
and I am a father to my daughter Marie-Elise and my son Tommy, who was born in 2026.
I am still competing, still learning and still chasing new limits. The next target is clear: a new
Masters world record and the 500 kg deadlift.
